    Papademos:

He has served as Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in 1980. He joined the Bank of Greece in 1985 as Chief Economist, rising to Deputy Governor in 1993 and Governor in 1994. During his time as Governor of the national bank, Papademos was involved in Greece's transition from the drachma to the euro as its national currency.

"r. Papademos, however, is seen as outside the old-boy networks of Greek politics — a technocrat, perhaps able to take Greece on a new path. "

Too late to take Greece on a new path. Greece is doomed before January. You cannot save a country by starving its people.

It will be a new path. He used to be in charge of lending the money, and now he's in charge of paying it back.

Collections with interest and or real assets/resource transfers.
We will see if his policies are structured to make Greek do it with pleasure.

Looks like Loukanikos will have a few more photo ops. Violent revolution may be the only hope that is left in Greece. They certainly gave up on democracy.

A Shaken Italy Is Poised to Name New Government

Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is expected to step down on Monday and be replaced with a cabinet of technocrats likely led by Mario Monti, a former European commissioner.

                http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/11/wo...rnment.html?hp

                Mario Monti:

He is also European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, a neoliberal think tank founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller[2] and member of the Bilderberg Group. . . .

Mario Monti has been seen as a favourite to replace Silvio Berlusconi to lead a new unity government in Italy in order to implement reforms and austerity measures

From their point of view, so far so good, working like a charm.
