That could mean a full dismantling of the Social Security and Medicare programs, with next-to-nothing replacing them, even for people currently dependent solely on them.
    SS cuts aren't really favored at all even by the younger generations that will likely end up getting screwed the most in order to fund them for older folks.




    The people in favor of dismantling or cutting SS/Medicare/Medicaide benefits are those in congress and the president believe it or not. The Catfood 2 Commission, a revamped version of the first version aka National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, has largely been designed to try and push through all sorts of cuts that were proposed in Catfood 1 while only making the appearance of even trying to raise any sort of taxes anywhere.
