Besides being wanted for a felony fraud (Ponzi scheme), Hsu is connected back in Hong Kong and seems to have lots of money without a means to generate it.
The speed at which the Dem's are giving back money (as opposed to: Norman Hsu is one of many individuals who contributed money to the party most representative of the American people, the Democratic Party of the United States) makes me wonder if perhaps Norman is actually connected beyond Hong Kong to the PRC.

Until three years ago, Mr. Hsu never made a campaign contribution to a presidential candidate, according to federal election records. Now, though, several people involved in raising money for White House candidates say Mr. Hsu is a major player.
