  • More Bad News for Blighty (Suck it up Limey!)

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/f...avoidable.html

    A little background:-
in Q2 Northsea Gas production fell by 25% ...oil by 18%......British oil production peeked in 1999 @ almost 3 million barrels a day, today its less then a 3rd of that.

Britan is borrowing MORE not less than the last goverment, that its self was insane.......in short a collaspe is close. Today umemoplyment jumped to levels last seen in 1994.

    "They" panic & Print.

Wouldn't the answer to Britain's problems be to drill? I mean, the conventional wisdom was that there wasn't oil/gas on land in the UK, but there was. The conventional wisdom was that there was no more oil left under the North Sea, but another gusher was drilled just weeks ago by Stat Oil of Norway.

Just like there wasn't much oil remaining under the Gulf of Mexico? Just like North Dakota didn't have oil/gas? Just like California didn't have more oil in Kern County? Just like Alberta's oil is gone? Just like there is no oil offshore of Los Angeles? Just like the Hibernia field off of Newfoundland is dry? Just like there isn't oil under Lake Erie and south of Lake Erie in Ohio?
Just like there isn't oil in Pennsylvania? Just like there is nothing in Wyoming?

Daylight Energy Company drilling in Saskatchewan has a take-over bid (just happening right now in the second week of October 2011) by the Govn't of China. I guess that means that Daylight has been drilling dry-holes in Saskatchewan? I mean, that is what the stock market thought--- at least, until this week.

The conventional wisdom was that there was no oil/gas in the Mediterranian Sea? Drilling for gas off of Israel's coast would be folly? Nothing would be found offshore of Italy? Nothing offshore of Libya? Nothing offshore of Greece? Nothing offshore of Egypt? Nothing much would be found offshore of Algeria?

India didn't have oil/gas off its coasts? Nothing much offshore of Brazil? Nothing much left in the Beaufort Sea off of Alaska and the Yukon? The North Slope of Alaska is drilled-empty now? Russia had no more oil left; it was hopeless? Nothing in the South China Sea? Nothing would be found offshore of Vietnam? Nothing offshore of Australia?

The bottom-line is that once a nation like the UK starts listening to environmentalists and preservationists, the nation might as well give-up, surrender to Al Qaide, and dig a mass-grave for itself. Once the Sierra Club, the World Wildlife Federation, and Greenpeace are allowed to set the economic agenda, there will be no future for anyone.
