Re: Fed Theory - what do YOU think will happen?

Readings on core inflation have improved modestly this year. However, the Committee judges that some inflation risks remain, and it will continue to monitor inflation developments carefully.

Well, this a 3rd election year. You don't break a party at such a sensitive time. It's after election when the hell brakes loose. My bets paid well (FXI is up 5% today).

I think there is a large difference between breaking a political party and breaking down your own currency.

A 0.25% cut would have been acceptable and would also have not tanked the dollar so much.

As it is, what B-Nank has really done is point and **** the gun at the head of whoever does win - oh and show he is a complete stooge of the financial markets.

Watch the beggar thy neighbor program begin, ECB cuts, BOE cuts, Russia cuts, Canada cuts, Ozzies cut, New Zealand cuts, South Africa cuts, everybody cuts except Japan and the Swiss, but they don't have to rasie which is just as good as a cut. Who can get their currency worth zero first, I bet it's the brits.
