    The answers to the question of the Dutch gold is the same as for most other western nations.

    What's more interesting is how the Dutch Central Bank ordered one pension fund to divest a significant part of its gold holdings. The pension fund refused, and the Dutch central bank went to court to force the pension fund to comply (Dutch law gives the central bank a lot of authority over pension funds, I guess that comes in handy when they need to be forced to buy sovereign bonds).
