  • Some of Sarah Palin's Ideas Cross the Political Divide

I thought this was interesting, and I have absolutely no use for Sarah Palin.

Re: Some of Sarah Palin's Ideas Cross the Political Divide

She made three interlocking points. First, that the United States is now governed by a “permanent political class,” drawn from both parties, that is increasingly cut off from the concerns of regular people. Second, that these Republicans and Democrats have allied with big business to mutual advantage to create what she called “corporate crony capitalism.” Third, that the real political divide in the United States may no longer be between friends and foes of Big Government, but between friends and foes of vast, remote, unaccountable institutions (both public and private).
    It's a start.

I do respect Sarah Palin's recent half marathon run time averaging just north of the 8 minute mile pace....not bad for a chick in her 40's....but I still don't think I'd vote for her.

“Do you want to know why nothing ever really gets done?” she said, referring to politicians. “It’s because there’s nothing in it for them. They’ve got a lot of mouths to feed — a lot of corporate lobbyists and a lot of special interests that are counting on them to keep the good times and the money rolling along.”
Is Palin still employed by News Corp.?
It's sort of like a non-deathbed confession from a former almost insider.

I think Michelle Bachman prepared us to see Rick Perry as "moderate" and Perry will make Palin seem "moderate". "Corporate crony capitalism" is pretty accurate. I might throw Wall Street in to the Corporate Wall Street Complex. Perhaps the most chilling revelation about the Presidential campaign is the very fact that the Presidency is very irrelevant except for waging war and that card has been played and beat to death. Do you really think that it would make a substantial difference if one of these Reps were there instead of Obama? Even Palin?

An interesting article, and it tells me only one thing. The GOP has learned to copy Obama's method of telling the masses what they want to hear, then, once elected, doing something else. I could rant on this topic for a while, but really, is there anyone that reads this site that doesn't understand the game today?

Very surprising. As the article states the ideas she vocalized were not reported on. You CANNOT depart from the common narrative. If you do you risk being marginalized. Ask Ron Paul.

I think you're exactly right. Nonetheless I still find it interesting that its a message that is expected to have some appeal, else she wouldn't have said it.

There is no evidence of that whatsoever.

Contrast Palin's comments with what is said by Congressional Republicans and the GOP Prez. candidates.

It appears Palin has had some kind of awakening.

And since she finally hit one out of the ballpark, the only big surprise is that the New York Times chose to cover it at all. The story has received no other mainstream media coverage that I know of.

Let's face it, when she breathes it's news. For more evidence of that witness today's non-story allegation of her affair with ex-NBA star Glen rice.
