The troubled firm plans to cut 3,500 more jobs, in addition to 2,500 already-announced layoffs, according to an internal memo obtained by DealBook. The total could reach 10,000. "I know it is tough to have to manage through reductions, but we owe it to our customers and our shareholders to remain competitive, efficient and manage our expenses carefully," Brian T. Moynihan, the firm's chief executive, wrote in the memo.
