Just out of curiosity, Does anybody actually read my posts? If not, is it because I have some sort of ignore list? What gives?

I do! There is only one person on my list. Having been a loud mouthed jerk at times, I'm probably on a few lists too.

this highlights a concern I have. You did post first, but you posted in video. If you come in on the front page as I do, you don't see that forum. We presently don't have a way to draw attention to anything except news, select/news and EJ comments.

                      EJ,
thanks for the interview. Its good to be able to listen as well as read your arguments.
In your interview you mention the fact that the military industry complex is sizable in the US. Has their share of manufacturing grown as the rest of the pie has shrunk in the last two decades?
It would be unfortunately giving more weight to your thesis if FIRE, military indurstry and enery industry are the main legs of US industrial output.

Never start at the front page, you miss way too much. "New Posts" is the way to go.

Yeah, I used to start at the News page so I missed EJ's call on Time to Sell Silver. Now I start on New Posts and see everything that's come in.

in the interview eric makes the point that some argue that growth was falsely increased via increasing debt, and that perhaps the level of economic activity now represents a "truer" picture of the capacities of our economy. however, if the debt hadn't been overblown, economic activity would have occurred in DIFFERENT SECTORS of the economy. prices wouldn't have been distorted by the debt-driven demand in housing in particular, and would be more in line with our "truer" economic picture. and so on.
