...And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
        If we don't we're gonna blow a 50-amp fuse"
        Sing it to me now...

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
        You get what you need...

Mike, the day you get it you'll be crying gorilla tears and wishing you had enjoyed the good times while you had them.

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

You might be peeking around for a long time. I am beginning to think peak oil expresses itself in less drivers and less industry before we see $200 dollar oil. It might get there in pounds, however.

A low oil price (100 dollars) has the full backing of the U.S. government/military. It keeps the peeps happy. It keeps the dollar useful to other countries.

The "plan" is probably for $200 dollar oil in 2020. So far, they are doing fine. Slow and steady erosion of the dollar. It is a long enough time for the "great adjustment"; less & smaller cars for the U.S. Bikes for you guys in the UK.

There is a whole generation of baby boomers who will stop working and drive less. They are generally an overweight, diabetic generation. They will lose their driving privileges at young ages as well.

The United States can use A LOT less oil (minus the military) and still be fine. China can stop building houses and ghost cities and their oil consumption would drop as well.

The latest S&A Digest podcast on iTunes has a guy named Dr. Kent Moors first claiming there is no Peak Oil, then telling us future oil prices will be higher as the stuff left is more expensive and harder to get. DUH!
