I dunno. It strikes me that the short-term vacation rentals referred to in the ordinance are quite a different thing from renting a house out as someone's long-term residence. Kind of like the difference between a hotel (commercial) and an apartment building.

The article didn't really say if long term rentals were banned or not. It just said any commercial use.Comment

At one time my wife and I considered Tucson as a place to buy. Many of the houses we looked at from afar (online) had rent-able outbuildings - perfect for the spring training crowds. We daydreamed of pocketing vacation money while the bats cracked and the hot dogs broiled in the Arizona sun. MLB consolidated spring training to Phoenix. c'est la guerre. (wouldn't we have known
