    another earth shattering move made by the SEC

    The charges stem from the 2007 sale of a collateralized debt obligation, or CDO, that JPMorgan Securities marketed to investors without disclosing that a hedge fund involved in the creation of the CDO was betting it would decline in value, according to the SEC.

    When the fines handed out begin to represent significant multiples of the illegal profits made through the deceitful means utilized, then justice will prevail and the crooks will think twice before attempting to defraud investors a second time. Until then, it'll be (crooked) business as usual.

        ....And a bunch of pols and university presidents wondering why we can't get our best and brightest college bound students interested in pursuing math/science/engineering anymore....
