It's PEAK oil not PEEK oil. Also it isn't peak
And what if it was "The End Of The World"; what would you do? Dig a bomb shelter and shoot at your neighbors? As a practical proposition there isn't much that the average Joe can or should do about these things. Also Doug Short ran this graph the other day:
For "not a bubble" it sure looks like some kind of dramatic move. If it stays "not a bubble" then I will be pretty happy.
One more thing. What if your currency crashed and nobody noticed?

That is a 50% drop in the dollar. 50% ! From $0.80 to $1.60 in a period of about 7 years give or take. Was that not dramatic enough for you? Are the (I think) five wars we have going not exciting enough for you? There will be lots more and closer to home. Don't wish for more crisis; they will arrive sooner than you would like.Comment

The dollar is down against the yen by 30% in just a couple of years. It was 120 to the dollar, now it is 80.
If the BoJ would stop printing, it would be at the level described by many analysts 15 years ago: 60 yen to the dollar.
I fled the dollar and pulled out everything I could three years ago and changed it into yen, and I am VERY happy with the result so far.
I think the real crash hasnt come yet. They have been kicking the can down the road, and now we have come to a cliff.Comment
