PCR has gone off the deep end, but I will admit that, as far as conspiracy theories go, this is much more plausible than most.

That should make you take pause.

Now, the man is awful, and I'm thrilled that his arrest will pave the way for Le Front National to gain an even stronger voice - particularly as Khan is probably the most vocal figure for further dispossessing the French people of their homeland while protecting his own - but the story is simply bizarre as recounted.

Re: Head of IMF, DSK, pulled off plane, held by NYPD

Was this woman planted in the hotel years ago as a sleeper agent waiting to strike?
No need to. There is a schedule of who will be working where or the schedule can be adjusted to put the "right person" in the right place.

Or was she approached later and trained to carry out this operation? Who trained her to withstand aggressive questioning by the police and later by a hostile defense attorney?
Money/threats do wonders. "aggressive questioning", how do we know this is true? So did they finally reach the water-boarding stage to make sure to get the truth?

Physical evidence was recovered. Was it planted? Was she trained to give an account the matched the story the physical evidence tells?
Again, if the quarry if big enough, everything can be arranged as we see today on Wall Street, "The regulators did not see the problem coming".

Were other hotel employees on board to make sure she had the right room assignment and was available for work on the right days?
Meetings of the IMF head are surely arranged in advance, maybe weeks or even months, so time to arrange could always be found. If not first time than they could try again somewhere else.

As Jon Stewart notices, Bin Laden suddenly has porn material and shortly after Khan is nabbed. They dropped the book on Martha Stewart like the crime of the century happened but the biggest thieves on Wall Street are getting bonuses. Time to have a smoke.

All option are open on this one.

the I in FIRE: sexual rewards, who knew . . .

A Munich Re unit hosted about 20 prostitutes at a Budapest party to reward the insurer’s high- performing agents, a spokesman said.

The incident in the summer of 2007 was a “clear violation” of company policy, said Alexander Becker, a spokesman for the Ergo Versicherungsgruppe subsidiary, in a telephone interview yesterday. Senior management involved in organizing the event are no longer employed at Ergo, he said.

Ergo hosted the party for about 100 guests at the historic Gellert spa, Handelsblatt reported in a preview of an article to be published today. Women wore color-coded armbands, the newspaper said, citing unidentified guests, with red for hostesses, yellow for those available for sexual favors and white for women reserved for executives and top agents. After each trip to beds set up near the thermal baths, a woman would receive a stamp on her forearm, the paper reported.

Ergo and other insurers typically sell insurance products such as life, car and health coverage through so-called tied agents, independent brokers or other channels to customers. Such incentive trips for especially successful salespeople “definitely don’t usually proceed the way it’s described” in the German newspaper’s report, Becker said. He declined to comment on the details of the party.

Munich Re, the world’s biggest reinsurer, fully owns Dusseldorf-based Ergo, Germany’s second-biggest primary insurer after Allianz SE. The Budapest party was hosted by an Ergo unit, then known as Hamburg-Mannheimer Versicherungs-AG.

DSK may have gotten more than he bargained for?

              http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/i...uJ14RHw1434HvJ

The Post has not been able to ascertain whether the maid, 32, has HIV/AIDS because of medical confidentiality laws.

But the agency rents apartments only for adults with the disease. A Harlem United worker said at least one adult in the household has to be HIV-positive or have AIDS to qualify for one of their units. A healthy adult with a child with HIV or AIDS is not eligible.

"The [current] apartment isn't rented under her name. Harlem [Community AIDS] United places their tenants in our building," explained an employee of the apartment building's property manager, Chaim Gross, of Brooklyn.
The maid had previously lived in another High Bridge apartment rented by Harlem United, a source said. She had moved there with her child in 2008.

According to the agency, it is not uncommon for people with HIV/AIDS to move around.

Her lawyer, Jeffrey Shapiro, and a close family friend said the chambermaid is a widow who lives alone with her daughter. Public records list her as the only adult in the current apartment and the only adult having lived in her previous apartment.

Neighbors also say it was just her and the child in both places.

The Harlem United workers who talked to The Post were not specifically addressing the maid's living situation, only their agency's housing policies. Officials at Harlem United declined to comment because of confidentiality.
The woman has accused France's leading presidential contender of forcing her to perform oral sex on him twice and then trying to rape her as she tried to clean his Sofitel hotel room in Times Square on Saturday.

She told cops that after he sodomized her, she spit out his semen on the floor, a law-enforcement source said. Investigators are running DNA tests on the sample.

According to the federal Centers for Disease Control: "It is possible for either partner to become infected with HIV through performing or receiving oral sex."

Strauss-Kahn's lawyers declined comment last night.

The humiliated, 62-year-old suspect was ordered held without bail Monday and placed under suicide watch at Rikers Island -- reduced to wearing shoes without laces and a medical device to make sure he's breathing.
"He did not attempt to commit suicide. He went through an evaluation by a shrink, and they put him on watch," a Correction source said of the multimillionaire politico, who has an entire jail wing to himself.

The suspect's defense team has suggested that the pair was involved in a consensual romp.

The alleged victim, whose name is being withheld by The Post, remained in the protective custody of the Manhattan DA's Office.

The woman was under extreme security -- with investigators even intercepting her phone calls to keep her away from possible attempts by Strauss-Kahn cronies to get her to stop cooperating, sources told The Post.

One high-powered lawyer, who was among those trying to reach her to offer to rep her, said, "She could make $6 million, maybe more, just by shutting her mouth."

The maid's close family friend said he received a frantic call from the woman about an hour after her alleged attack, as detectives brought her to the emergency room at St. Luke's Hospital.

"She rang me, and she said, 'Somebody has done something really bad to me. I've been attacked,' " he told the Daily Mail. "She was crying all the time."

Shapiro said his client learned Strauss-Kahn's name only a "day or two" after the alleged attack.

The lawyer added, "There is no civil litigation pending or contemplated at this point.

"She was reunited with her daughter last night," he added.

The developments came as law-enforcement sources said hotel staffers failed to alert cops to the incident for up to three hours -- as Strauss-Kahn fled his room.

Hotel video cameras show the maid running from his room after the alleged attack, which occurred after noon, and into the maid service area on the floor, one source said. There, she called her boss, who arrived 10 to 15 minutes later, and then called another supervisor.

It took 10 to 15 minutes more for that boss to arrive, the source said. Hotel security was then called. About 10 to 15 minutes later, another security worker arrived and called his boss. Meanwhile, Strauss-Kahn apparently fled his room even before the first boss even arrived. It's not clear when cops were finally called. One source said it was after about 3:30 p.m., when Strauss-Kahn called the hotel looking for his cellphone; another said around 2:30 p.m. He was nabbed on a plane just about to depart JFK Airport for France at 4:40 p.m.

A Sofitel rep could not immediately be reached.

Meanwhile, a female reporter for a European paper told the Times of London that last November Strauss-Kahn offered her an exclusive interview, "but I had to go and spend the weekend with him in Paris or somewhere."
"He was incredibly insistent . . . He made it almost explicit that I had to sleep with him for the interview."
The sad part about all this: it is entirely believable that DSK was the type of person to use his position and wealth to get sex. He is a bankster after all.

The many tales of women complaining now, however, still begs the question why this apparently egregious behavior wasn't caught until now.

                  This is what happens:

An army is formed of the DA's and cops assigned to the case. When they march off to battle the flag they will be flying is the flag of the alleged victim. The stakes for this army? Their reputations and their careers. If they are made to be fools and dupes it will be done on a larger stage then many of them ever dreamed existed when the started their careers. If they smelled the slightest trace of a set up they'd trip over each other backing off. Most of those detectives have a pretty good sense of smell.

A high school buddy of mine went into insurance - local broker with a partner in upstate NY. I hadn't seen him in decades and when he was coming out to the coast - for an insurance event, naturally, how else - my wife and I picked him up for a sight-seeing meal in SF. His attire? Plaid sport coat, with a plaid tie. We took him to Sally Stanford's restaurant in Sausalito. I think he was embarrassed to be at an old brothel in public.

Regime Change at the IMF: The Frame-Up of Dominique Strauss-Kahn?

                        by Prof. Michel Chossudovsky

The Frank G. Wisner Jr. Nicolas Sarkozy Connection

Strauss Kahn was refused bail by Judge Melissa Jackson, an appointee and protégé of Michael Bloomberg, who in addition to his role as Mayor is a powerful figure on Wall Street.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. charged (using scanty evidence) Strauss-Kahn "with seven crimes, including attempted rape, sexual abuse, forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment".

                        Who is Cyrus Vance Jr.?

He is the son of the late Cyrus Vance who served as Secretary of State in the Carter administration.

But there is more than meets the eye. Nicolas Sarkozy's step father Frank G. Wisner II, a prominent CIA official who married his step mother Christine de Ganay in 1977 served as Deputy Executive Secretary of State under the helm of Cyrus Vance Senior, father of District Attorney Cyrus Vance Junior.

                        Is it relevant?

The Vance and Wisner families had close personal ties. In turn Nicolas Sarkozy had close family ties with his step father Frank Wisner (and his half brothers and sisiters in the US).

It is worth noting that Frank G. Wisner II was the son of one of America's most notorious spies, the late Frank Gardiner Wisner (1909- 1965), the mastermind behind the CIA sponsored coup which toppled the government of Mohammed Mossadegh in Iran in 1953. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.p...t=va&aid=23113 Wisner Jr. is also trustee of the Rockefeller Brothers Trust.

While these various personal ties do not prove that Strauss-Kahn was the object of a set-up, the matter of Sarkozy's ties to the CIA via his step father, not to mention the ties of Frank G. Wisner to the Cyrus Vance family are certainly worth investigating. Frank G, Wisner also played a key role as Obama's special intelligence envoy to Egypt at the height of January 2011 protest movement.

Was Strauss-Kahn framed by people in his immediate political entourage including President Obama and Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner?

                        DSK and Timothy Gaithner

                        Fair Trial?

Innocent before proven guilty? The US media has already cast its verdict. Will the court procedures be manipulated?

One would expect that Strauss-Kahn be granted a fair trial, namely the same treatment as that granted to thousands of arrests on alleged sexual aggression charges in New York City.

How many similar or comparable alleged sexual aggressions occur on a monthly basis in New York City? What is the underlying pattern? How many of these are reported to the police? How many are the object of police follow-up once a complaint has been filed?

What is the percent of complaints submitted to police which are the object of police arrest? How many of these arrests lead to a judicial procedure? What are the delays in court procedures?

How many of these arrests lead to release without a judicial procedure?

How many of the cases submitted to a judicial procedure are dismissed by the presiding judge?

How many of the cases which are not dismissed are refused bail outright by the presiding judge? What is the basis for refusing bail?

How many are granted bail? What is the average amount of bail?

How many are imprisoned without bail based on scanty and incomplete evidence?

How many of those who are refused bail are sent to an infamous maximum security prison on Rikers Island on the orders of Michael Bloomberg.

                        Diplomatic Immunity

Press reports state that full diplomatic immunity does not apply to officials of the United Nations and the Bretton Woods institutions, namely that the US did not ratify the protocol.
"U.N. convention on privileges and immunities for international agencies that most countries have ratified. It gives the heads of U.N. agencies broad immunity in the countries where they are based. But the U.S. government never became a party to that treaty. Employees of international agencies are covered by a U.S. statute that gives only limited immunity."
The relevant question is how has this limited immunity provision been applied in practice? Namely how many people with limited immunity (UN officials, officials of the Bretton Woods institutions) have been arrested and sent to a high security prison?
Has Strauss Kahn been given the same treatment as those arrested under the provisions of "limited immunity"?

Does the Strauss Kahn arrest fit the pattern? Or is Strauss Kahn being treated in a way which does not correspond to the normal (average) pattern of police and judicial procedures applied in the numerous cases of persons arrested on alleged sexual assault charges?

Without a frame-up instrumented by very powerful people acting in the background, the head of the IMF would have been treated in an entirely different way.

The mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg and Timothy Geithner would have come to his rescue.

That's one of the items that sets this case apart. Nobody's arguing that rape is okay, reported or not. This reeks of a neoliberal hit job. Exploiting his known proclivities doesn't make it not so.

Immediately following Strauss Kahn's arrest, pressures were exerted by Washington to speed up his replacement as Managing Director of the IMF preferably by a non-European, an American or a handpicked candidate from an "emerging market economy" or a developing country.

Since the founding of the Bretton Woods institutions in 1945, the World Bank has been headed by an American whereas the IMF has been under the helm of a (Western) European.

Strauss-Kahn is a member of elite groups who meet behind closed doors. He belongs to the Bildeberger. Categorized as one of the world's most influential persons, he is an academic and politician rather than a banker. In contrast to his predecessors at the IMF, he has no direct affiliation to a banking or financial institution.

But at the same time he is the fall guy. His "gaffe" was to confront the Washington-Wall Street Consensus and push for reforms within the IMF, which challenged America's overriding role within the organization.

The demise of Strauss-Kahn potentially serves to strengthen the hegemony of the US and its control over the IMF at the expense of what former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld called "Old Europe".

I'm not saying he's guilty or innocent nor do I have any idea. This type of behavior is rarely reported though. Whether or not women have reported this sort of behavior in the past doesn't necessarily mean a lot.

                                Options:

                                1. He did it. His arrest was a triumph of the rule of law over the arbitrary abuse of power by a prominent man.

                                2. He didn't do it. He is the victim of a crazy accusation.

                                3. He didn't do it, and is the victim of a massive conspiracy aimed at taking control of the IMF/ France by perverting the course of justice.

                                4. He did it, but #3 still applies.

Take your pick, I'm all in favor of presumption of innocence and I didn't think badly of DSK but I'm hoping for #1. I'll take #2 in a pinch. I'm still an optimist. Anything but more of #3/#4.
