  • Head of IMF, DSK, pulled off plane, held by NYPD

The leader of the International Monetary Fund and a possible candidate for president of France was pulled from an airplane moments before he was to fly to Paris and was being questioned Saturday by police in connection with the sexual assault of a hotel maid, police said.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn was taken off the Air France flight at John F. Kennedy International Airport by officers from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and turned over to police Saturday afternoon, said Paul J. Browne, New York Police Department spokesman.

Avery Tolar: Abby, the girl on the beach was a setup. They do things like that, in case the other enticements don't work.

Abby McDeere: What are they going to do to you?
Avery Tolar: Whatever it is, they did it a long time ago.

What hasn't he done to piss them off? He is/was planning to run as a socialist, you know.

During his interview on Inside Job, he certainly doesn't paint a flattering picture of Paulson.

DSK talks about a dinner conversation with Paulson and his cohorts, during the height of the crisis, where they discussed executive compensation. He said that they agreed that they were too greedy because they couldn't "avoid it" and that the only way to avoid it in the future would be by regulation of executive compensation levels. The interviewer, who was shocked by that admission, says he had never heard any talk like that before. DSK says that that is because the bankers only brought it up at the time because they were afraid of public backlash due to the crisis; and that when solutions to the crisis appeared they changed their mind about the need to regulate their pay.

I'm sure Paulson and the rest of the banker CEO's weren't to happy when they saw that interview. I'm not sure it applies here, DSK just might be a creep, but there you go.

Yehh, that must have really scared someone. He was as Socialist as I am a billionaire.

In its report on Thursday, the newspaper said that since Strauss-Kahn and his wealthy wife, Anne Sinclair, had arrived in the US capital for his IMF job in 2007 they had lived a life of luxury. The couple was said to have bought a £2.5m home in the upmarket Washington district of Georgetown. Other reports revealed that Strauss-Kahn, who allegedly earns £22,000 net a month, also has a flat in the 16th arrondissement of Paris which was bought for £2.2m in 1990, another flat on the expensive Place des Vosges in the 4th arrondissement bought in 2007 for £3.4m, and a riad in Marrakech.
That the Strauss-Kahns are wealthy has never been a secret. Sinclair is the granddaughter of Paul Rosenberg, a celebrated dealer of modern art, and has inherited part of his collection, which is said to include at least one Picasso. In many countries, such wealth would not necessarily be viewed as an impediment to a leftwing politician's career. In France, however, the flashiness has appalled some observers.
"Can one be leftwing and very rich?" asked Jean-Jacques Bourdin, a commentator on French radio station RMC. "If Sarkozy represented for many the 'bling-bling' right then Dominique Strauss-Kahn is, whether he likes it or not, a representative of the left 'vroom vroom'.
This sound like Spitzer Affair. Khan probable starter to act above his station and needed to be brought back to Earth.

My guess would be is that the maid is a true victim and not a some kind of plant from the banking cartel. Of course Strauss-Kahn deserves the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has had criminal charges against him dropped.

Federal prosecutors have said that their investigation found no evidence that he or his office misused public or campaign funds for prostitution.

On May 25th 2003, on 60 minutes, correspondent Steve Kroft reported, after years of greed and questionable practices that duped small investors, 10 of the largest investment firms on Wall Street have agreed to pay the piper: $1.4 billion dollars in fines, plus some tough new rules that are supposed to keep it from happening again.

Much of the credit has to go to Eliot Spitzer, the aggressive, ambitious attorney general of New York state.

The conspiracy-minded can go from 0 to tin foil in 0.5 seconds.

DSK is one of the Elite. Maybe he thought having his way with the maid was a perk of the job.

Spitzer, assange, khan all sex raps. Even Osama needed to be discredited with a porn and a jar of lube. I'm not subscribing to any theory or a actual guilt. But sex crime is a quick and easy way to descredit a person.

The most reliable skeptical guidance in these fact-free early announcements is the rich and powerful have a splendid record of covering their tracks. Does anybody think Spitzer was/is the only prominent politician to use high-priced call girls? While awaiting further developments remain skeptical.

S-K has done several naughty things:

                          1) He spoke at length in 'Inside Job' against the system
                          2) He has been opposing Geithner in policy issues like Ireland bankster boosterism

The equivalent of 2) was enough for Spitzer to get 'outed'...

Not a conspiracy theorist, but nonetheless quite an interesting coincidence.

old school, old boys financial oligarchy club... mafia but w/o the guns.

to get into the club you are required to engage in elicit activities with other members. nothing serious... coke, prostitutes, infidelity, etc... but enough to wreck your rep if the misdeeds are made public. your compliance with the club's code of silence is ensured by your own complicity in misdeeds. in return, privileges of membership... $$$ speaking gigs, a house here, a country club membership there... if anyone gets out of line, the others out the rogue & cut off his access to $$$. the press jumps on it. rich & powerful man caught red handed! with no $$$ to defend himself, the ejected club member is left swinging in the wind. think spitzer.

don't want to join the club but insist on tweaking noses or worse, making the club lose $$$? be prepared to get a tougher frame. favorite methods... plant a few underage hookers, child porn, drugs, whatever... tell the cops & the press... keep the schmuck busy & spending $$$ to defend his rep and stay out of jail. when he's exonerated but broke & broken yrs later, don't expect the media to report it. who gives a shit about a formerly rich guy? not news. that's dsk. they're working this on julian paul assange even if he's not rich... the media can't ignore him because he makes them look stoopid. he thinks he's safe because he's got some dirt on the bankers... not.

if you screw up severely... get caught in a badass illegal scam like enron & expose other members to serious shit... you have a heart attack (ken lay) or drown in a swimming pool (jeffry picower).

in russia it's traditional mob shit... poison, drowning, shooting, etc if you cross don putin.

framed for rape is getting off easy with this crowd & the other members get the msg pronto.

Being pulled off a plane 2 minutes before departure is clearly made to humiliate somebody, you could handle that with more care.

Maybe it's a big thank you for Sarkozy for his efforts in Libya or something else...
                              ..

In 1977, Pal Sarkösy of Nagy-Bocsa separates from his second wife, Christine de Ganay, who then gets together with the N°2 of the US State Department central administration. She marries him and settles in America with him. The world being very small, as everyone knows, her husband is none other than Frank Wisner, Jr, son of the previous. Junior’s responsibilities at the CIA are unknown, but it is clear that he plays an important role. Nicolas, who remains close to his mother in law, his half brother and his half sister, begins to turn towards the United States where he “benefits” from training programs of the State Department.
During that same period, Nicolas Sarkozy adheres to the Gaullist party coming into frequent contact with Charles Pasqua, who was not only a national leader then, but also the head of the party’s Haut de Seine department section.
