    Re: Gold getting k i l l e d !!!!!!!!!

I'm no longer able to understand the short term moves in forex, major stock markets, or even sometimes commodities.
These markets are so heavily "managed" by central banks and so heavily gamed by HFT that understanding daily or weekly moves eludes me altogether.

At least it's holding up better than silver.

            Re: Gold getting k i l l e d !!!!!!!!!

Just a few days ago EJ said he was looking for a $5,000 print on spot gold before this all comes to an end.
As far as I know he hasn't changed his opinion that gold will trade between $2,500 and $5,000 within the next few years.

Gold is being sold in a profit-taking and/or rebalancing by hedge funds and others; this should be complete when the increase in Open Interest of the past 3 or 4 weeks is liquidated, and the June Comex Gold should hold above $1,400 on a closing basis.
If, however, there is a liquidation in the stock market, and "Bubbles" Ben doesn't ride to the rescue, then gold could easily trade down to the $1,300 - $1,350 range. I hope it does because I'll then increase my holdings by another 1/3rd.

Silver became a parabola and the late-comers are having one of their butt cheeks removed - without anesthesia.

If the 15 to 1 ratio of oil to gold holds, then a $90 oil to $1350 gold doesn't seem far fetched.

Gold priced in euros falling also, close to 1000 per oz now. So it's not just dollar strength. I imagine EJ's prediction that silver was overbought, is correcting and dragging gold with it is playing out here.

The fundamentals for gold appear unchanged; negative real interest rates as far as the eye can see and central banks buying, I will too below 1000 euro/oz.

                    1. We can expect all commodities to fall significantly

                    2. The US dollar will come roaring up also

I would go long the USD if I wasn't already

The whole game is highly rigged. Especially silver, many getting killed.
