The LA times has an article about folks queuing up at Countrywide offices to pull their cash out.

Quite a civilized run on the bank from what I can tell. Apparently one branch manager offered tea and coffee to the throng waiting in the lobby and tried to have a nice conversation with his soon to be former customers a la George Bailey.
