    What is an 811(k)?

    I'm obviously new here despite being a lurker for awhile. I've learned quite a bit from all of your postings and I was hoping I could learn one more thing...

    Does anyone know what an 811(k) refers to regarding IRS tax code?

    My searches on the internet and the IRS site have revealed almost nothing other than that there is a section in the 1939 code dealing with gift tax.

    Any and all guesses are welcome, thanks!

    Is that some sort of all-terrain vehicle, like a Hummer?
