I agree Android fanbois are just as rabid, but I disagree that all the recs on that article are from Android fanbois.

They could just as easily be from disappointed Apple users.

You'll note the article doesn't endorse Android in any way, shape, or form - if anything it nostalgically recalls Nokia.

I don't think Apple can sustain this share price over the long run. But I have an iPad, and I use it all the time. I don't bring it in public to "show off." It's small, light, fast, can remain unplugged for 12 hours and boots up instantly. But apparently the author knows better -- I just want to be a "cool kid."
Agree. People buy them because they work. Love it for the same reasons you mention. Especially the quick boot up and long battery life. I picked up a refurbished IPad 1 for $300 recently and love it. It did everything I used my laptop for so I sold that. I do my real computing at my desktop anyway. I think tablet sales in general are just getting started. I think they'll eventually replace the laptop for most casual users.

My son is a real tech geek. He does his research and buys the Android based phones, etc because on paper they are "better". But then he actually uses the Apple stuff and then wants that instead.
