    Well this is better

Is this routine maintenance ??? Also, that can not be the only airport that finds its runway pointing on a different magnetic heading. Not sure how to interpret this but it certainly is strange.

Strange times indeed. This is just getting started. I'm looking forward to the following 2011 UFO Wikileaks revelation :-D Apparently USA has a 4th war going on with UFOs in the South Pole.

Here in the Canadian Government they are handing out "COSMIC Top Secret" clearance levels for those that apply. (scroll down to section 901)

Maybe if we connect the dots... that's it... it was UFO's that killed the birds!

I'm going long on tin foil as we are all going to need full body suits. Over the years Hollywood has taken to making movies / shows with "Tin Foil" themes that have ended up being true? Take the pilot episode of the X Files spin off "The Lone Gunmen" where a plane is remotely hijacked and sent to crash into the WTC !! And there is Stargate where we humans have a kick ass battle against aliens in the Antartic. And 2012 where the planet goes into tectonic upheaval . I have video of NASA space shuttles being buzzed by UFOs and of what appears to be ground based "Death Rays" trying to shoot them down. Before Tesla died it is said he gave plans for his "Death Ray" to the Allies , 1/3 to each so no one could build it. Also have video of guy who claims to of worked for US Military in DUMBS (deep underground military bases) and there are 9 alien races on Earth!!!! 2 are friendly and 3 are hostile the others go both ways. On another note, after a Xmas discussion with in laws I am very nervous, we talked about banks etc. and up came the statement from lord Blankenfein on how he was doing "Gods work" and my sister in law said it was ok as he was one of "Gods chosen people" and how Israel is the promised land and they can do no wrong and waiting for the second coming of Christ!!!! ( sounds more tin foil theory to me) any ways there are many millions of Americans who think this way and send billions of dollars to Zion, so getting things to change may not be or, think about it , even possible if this is indeed "Gods Work".

The best conspiracy theory I've seen regarding these dead birds can be found with a Google search for "bird deaths phosgene murder wheeler". Beware however that this report seems to originate from Sorcha Faal's site, which has a reputation for a tenuous connection with the reality most of us reside in.

Come on, Cow. Chemtrails and Dick Cheney killed those birds.

No way, man. It's obvious. Google search for 9/11 mitre wheeler trojan. Apparently he learned something about 9/11 that he wasn't supposed to know.

Wow, that search turned up some hard core loonyism.

                  Re: Strange days indeed

This sounds like an interesting theory, still why would a bird want to play Kamikaze
The Earth's magnetic field is similar to that of a bar magnet, with north and south poles. The magnetic field causes a bubble around the Earth which protects it from solar winds, asteroids, and other objects in space. Scientists believe the magnetic poles are due to electric currents that come from the Earth's core. The circulating electric current creates a dynamo effect, which is caused, in part, by the rotation of the Earth's axis. A dynamo effect is similar to what happens with an electric generator. When the magnetic field interacts with particles from solar winds, it creates what is known as the aurora borealis near the poles.
Scientists at Goethe-Universitat in Frankfurt, Germany, have discovered that a bird can see the Earth's magnetic fields through photoreceptor cells in the bird's right eye. Birds use this navigational tool to migrate north and south during the autumn and spring. Before this discovery, it was believed that birds could sense the magnetic field either through their eyes or beaks. These photoreceptor cells create shades of light, which tell the birds if they are on or off course during migration.

Could the Earth's Magnetic Fields Be Causing the Die-Off of Thousands of Birds?

The Goethe-Universitat study revealed that if birds could not see the magnetic field when migrating, they lost their "bearings" and could hurt themselves or even die. NASA reported in 2008 that there was a "massive breach" in the Earth's magnetic field, detected by THEMIS spacecraft. Solar wind can flow through this breach, causing enormous geomagnetic storms. It is very possible that such a geomagnetic storm is responsible for the current deaths of thousands of birds across the planet.

I think it's only been a couple of years since it has been proven that birds can see more electromagnetic radiation than the spectrum visible to humans, specifically the field that surrounds the earth (I don't know what part of the spectrum that is btw, science geeks let me know).

This sounds like the best theory to me.

Dunno about the birds, but the frog death phenomenon worldwide now appears to be due to a fungus:

                        http://www.ouramazingplanet.com/newf...y-fungus-0230/

What's really sad is that at least in a few cases, the researchers studying 'pristine' populations brought the fungus into the local environment.

Not going to say the g* w* words...

                            Re: Strange days indeed

Die-offs, also known in California's waters as, "the red tide", have been going-on for eons. Just as an el nino event begins, surface sea-temps rise, and this seems to co-incide with a red-tide event.

The eastern Pacific gets an el nino series of years roughly every 11 years, or so. The el nino (warm SST) lasts for about 5 years, and the la nina takes-over after that. The second year of the el nino is usually the reversion year, a year in which the SST is colder than normal. This year, the SST reversion back to cold water lasted only for a few months, in summer and fall of 2010. So, it just seems to be a pure el nino year--- except that there was no die-off because there were no unusually warm SST off of the California coast.

Climatology is boring! The trend always reverts back to the mean, just as the staggering-drunk always returns to the lamp-post, sooner or later....... No need to wear a tin-foil hat.

The biggest (and most grotesque) red-tides happen when the el nino series commences. The surface water goes from colder than normal, to warmer than normal. The food-supply for fish drops, and the oxygen content of the surface water of the sea is diminished. Then the die-off begins, and fish wash-up all over the beaches.
