    Expect to see a huge amount of research on reducing the amounts of rare earths used, or substitution of more available metals for less available ones.

    Japan is really trying to step up recycling of rare earths.

    I'll tell you the truth before a certain other poster here does:

    Silver is useless.
    Silver died a painful death in tandem with he death of film photography, and continued lack of use is killing Silver even deader than dead can be.
