I know what you mean about him being nutty, but I learned not to dismiss things he says out of hand because of overall nuttiness.

For example, he once said to the British: I don't know why you are complaining about Mexico and European drug source countries. You are the biggest drug dealers in the history of the world.
Which made me say huh?
Then I read further and found that he was referring to the Opium Wars in China.
Totally accurate.
