It's hard to say. Ron Paul, if he decided to run for president, could easily destroy the republican party single handedly in 2012. It could be his last shot. His son is also a Senator. I think Ron carries a lot of weight these days.

Not sure the committee is really a big deal though. Who actually watches these things?

People watch those things if the main stream media makes a theater out of them.

I'm still betting (these 219 keystrokes, not real money) that "they" will do just that; that the time has come for the Federal Reserve to be taken down a notch or two and subordinated to some global banking regulations.

Ron Paul will win the battle, reigning in the Fed. But he will lose the war, reigning it into the BIS or some such, not to will of the American people.

(Yes, it's a long shot bet.)
