What a terrible interview. Back in the day, 60 Minutes used to be known for really putting the pressure on -- here, they just totally caved; no pointed questions; no nothing. Yet another sign that the independent media is truly dead.

Indeed. Not that the content of "60 Minutes" is entirely personality-driven, but CBS made little effort to replace the show's former bulldogs (Mike Wallace, Ed Bradley) with anyone even remotely resembling them. (Anderson Cooper? Scott Pelley? Katie Couric?? My ass.) When Morley Safer and Steve Kroft eventually leave, there won't be anyone of any caliber at all.
