  • The $7,000 car from China

    http://www.worldcarfans.com/11011262...aled-for-china

A re-skinned Cruze with a Brit designed 1500 cc 4 cyinder engine. This engine is new design & a friend with conections to MG tells me he seen a direct injection head for it. I hear from other sources that they already got a mild hybrid set up running & ready for production & this engine is being tested running HCCI (makes the engine up like a diesel under low loads).

In short a modern MANY MPG car for little cash is a coming.

Re: The $7,000 car from China

As the owner of a cheaply made Chinese scooter, I have my doubts about the reliability and longevity of a cheap anything coming out of China. But maybe like Japan, their quality will improve over time. I'm old enough to remember when "Made in Japan" was a synonym for "junk".

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

They bought up MG Rover & GM...........most of the parts used in 90% of cars come from them anyway...........i suspect your find a leap in build Q!

Lambos are too WIDE for UK roads, anything over 1900mm is too much..........an Audi RS4 is fine, might be able to make this Audi fit @ 1850 ish.

Your last two attachments, 3682 and 3683, are "invalid" for me. This seems to be a common problem with attachments; I have no clue what's causing it, and I have not been able to reproduce the failure myself.

The real question is: Is $7000 worth this car?

                    My answer: No, Hell No.

I get the same "invalid" error, too.
