  • Bullionvault advert on underground -- mass participation beginning?

I just saw a bullionvault advert on the tube. It looks like the beginning of the next phase, mass participation, to me.
It's Economics vs Thermodynamics. Thermodynamics wins.

I got word last week that relatives of mine are taking up coin collecting, specifically silver and gold. They have a history of following the herd and doing well at first, but getting massacred at the end. It happened with tech stocks, real estate and now...

The news shook me a bit. It made me almost certain that metals have quite a bit to escalate from here, but when all is said and done they will likely be lower than they are now.

Diversify. Look at copper. Look at silver. Look at iradium. Look at many raw materials.

IMO, gold is a terrific peak cheap oil play. Economic growth is impossible without growth in per capita energy consumption. In the world, that energy is still dominantly oil.

If the economy doesn't grow, it will collapse given debt levels taken on under assumption of growth.

If we can't grow energy consumption, and collapse of the economic system isn't an option, that leaves only money printing to drive nominal economic growth, which is all that matters against fixed debts.

I will sell my PM's when we find a replacement for oil that has the same or greater EROI...until then, I am a buyer of any and all dips.

Still hearing virtually nobody talk about the interplay of these three variables (oil, debt, growth)...
