  • Uh oh: Greenspan fesses up...

.... doesn't this mean the "end time" approaches? (Why else would you come clean?)

Even Alan Greenspan is confirming what William Black, James Galbraith, Joseph Stiglitz, George Akerlof and many other economists and financial experts have been saying for a long time: the economy cannot recover if fraud is not prosecuted and if the big banks know that government will bail them out every time they get in trouble.

EVEN Alan Greenspan? He's been saying that sort of thing for 50 years. If anything, it's everyone else that's finally caught up with him.

Whaaaaaaat? Mr Bubbles? I think you're confused. He told Brooksly Born that prosecuting fraud was redundant. He most certainly has not been saying this for 50 years. Especially mentioning the F word.

Why are we still hearing anything from Greenspan? I had hoped by now anyone with a microphone would tell him that no thinking person possibly cares what he has to say. And in similar news, Jerry Jones is still GM and Wade Phillips the coach of the Dallas Cowboys this morning.

I just noticed that "my" team (since I too live near Dallas) the Cowboys lost 45 to 7 to the mighty Green Bay Packers. Holy Smackers.

As for Greenspan, I doubt it matters much what a thinking person might care. Such people are in few in number.

What matters is that "recognized experts" present the various positions and dramas of the moment.

His only importance is as a gauge of what the establishment is willing to conscience in terms of public discussion. I think it's significant that he's willing to call fraud fraud.

These guys had the numbers and let the game go on. Now ..... after all cylinders are blow out, he comes and says what the problem is. Please, that must be a Halloween Joke. ;)

When a Con Artist Emeritus confesses to the Con of his own volition, it suggests that the next phase of the Con is commencing.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones fired Coach Wade Phillips today. Will he appoint a coach who does the right thing and keep Jerry away from the team? Or another yes man who can't win, but allows Jones to run things. Interesting to see how people know what the right thing to do is, but cannot bring themselves to do it.
