200 to 300 billion but no clear promise as to how and when. Lots of opaque language which promises a put under everything. Market drops 2% but bounces close to flat at close.

$2.5 Trillion. In little bitty $100 B monthly increments over the next 2 years...
Stealth my fellow iTulipers. It'll be stealth, not shock and awe. The shock and awe will come in due course when people realize how much energy and food prices have increased by mid-decade...

600 Billion / 75 billion monthly.
Market has priced in 500 billion, so keep the markets from falling and pour a little more vodka into the punch bowl.
On the other hand, Ron Paul might oversee the Fed?? Now *that* first meeting I'm going to record so I can watch.....

Might even be worse...
The New York Fed's statement provides some details on the Fed's easing plan: The $600B in new purchases isn't all; continued POMO reinvestments could total $250B-300B during the same period - $850B-900B total, about $110B per month. NY Fed expects average duration of securities bought to be between five and six years.
