We're in the binary digital age...everything can be done with a 0 or a 1. Everything else is excess baggage...

I managed to make the switch to metric a decade ago.....metric makes sense.....I now consider myself multi-lingual in weights and measures.

In WWII the allies came a bit late to realizing the way to defeat the AXIS was to attack it's oil supply. Seems insurgents in Pakistan read their history.

I'm not quite sure why you think the Allies "came a bit late" to realizing the need to attack the Axis oil supplies?

Roughly one-third of the refined products being used by the Axis powers in the early war years came from the refining complex near Ploiesti, Romania, and the Allies targeted it as early as June 1942, with the infamous [and not particularly successful] Tidal Wave attack in August the following year.
