Well, the accredited investor and the $250K min are going to be pains, but I'm scheming around that if at all possible. I do have a close relative who is accredited and could possibly route thru him (I think).

I look forward to reading the prospectus.

After reading about the fund, and then what you said, I was surprised they would allow you to tell subscribers what the investments are. I think that speaks to the personal relationship you have with them; surly no one would agree to that on purely business terms.

Obviously, an individual taking these investments and deciding which ones to buy and what allocations will face different risks than their clients. And there will probably be times when the fund will invest in opportunities that are just not available to a typical retail investor. Just being aware of what the fund is doing is worth a lot, I think, even if no direct action is taken.

Did not mean to sound an alarm, Twin Focus Capital Partners can accept or reject investors based upon minimum SEC requirements.

Here is a bit of clarification on "Accredited Investor", the bar is high but not that high. 200k is middle class in New York, but not Duluth....

250k large minimum,so do you care to roll over that 401k or IRA?

I will try and share my research on this investment if I can find anyone willing to talk, no offense
to EJ or the fine folks at Twin, for I am am depending on how you want to believe a believer after all.

The subscriber area will have a special section where TPCE Portfolio is described, changes to it, and results are shown. We have not yet determined exactly how to best do this, but hope to shortly.

This news certainly adds significant more value to becoming a paid subscriber to iTulip.

Or to put it simply: "There's no crying in the stockmarket." Or any other market. This is a great development. Shall re-subscribe.

Re: New Portfolio Shaped By Vision of Upheaval

Outstanding Idea for the managed fund. I have a few questions for EJ:

                    1) Will the fee structure be like a hedge fund - 2 and 20? or just a percentage and if so what?

                    2) Can IRA money (250 k worth) be used?

                    3) I get that you think long-term TECI will beat treasuries (could not agree more) and that you are not selling gold until it is likely substantially higher (reasons to own gold go away - new monetary regime or better alternative,etc.). But for whose of us currently who might have MORE than 30% in PMs, do you think this TECI fund will do better than PMs going forward? Or perhaps not as well but just a hedge to the political risk of overexposure to PMs? Or is it only a good alternative to the Treasuries at 70% or so?

PS I read your book in one long sitting last weekend. Simply masterful in the way it ties every itulip theme together. I'll be posting a review and promoting it on my website soon

If you're going 3G already (guns, groceries, and gold), then hardwoods may be the best investment for the next 20 years.

I.e. buy some land, plant black walnut seedlings or what not, put in a fence, and deploy the surveillance and firing range. Serious liquidity issues though.

                        EJ,

Is this a fund purely of publicly traded assets, or does it also include higher risk investments e.g. private equity/VC type investing? What happened to your thought of investing in the new green/technologies for the coming age?

The portfolio at least initially will be composed of stocks, ETFs, and other instruments that can be traded in a retail brokerage account. The Peak Cheap Oil Cycle is a key part of the strategy.

Is this going to be available as a separate managed account product via certain advisory channels, or only direct from Twin Focus, or as a pooled investment fund?
