Very interesting interview - I agree with many points he makes. He covers similar topics that Nicole Foss from the Automatic Earth does.
Unfortunately, economists have no idea what's going on - they just look at price, and not society as a whole. Actually, there are too few people out there that use a multidisclipinary approach to viewing the issues modern industrial civilization faces. He views society as a system that requires a certain level of inputs to maintain itself, let alone grow.
