I’d really like to meet this team of thinkers.
Bringing portable nuclear reactors into Middle Eastern countries just wasn’t risky enough for them. How could they increase the risk?
Why not put the reactors on boats! Not cost-is-no-object boats like in the US nuclear navy, where everything is over-designed and gold-plated and over-staffed 24/7.
Nope. How about commercial barges built in Russia by the lowest bidder? That way even normal maintenance is complicated by lack of access and crowding. Plus they can sink, and heave in the waves, and leak at least a little bit all the time. Plus the constant exposure to salt water will tend to corrode everything, even the places you can’t see!
Now that’s risk done right!
