  • DC Begins the Bust-up

    From the Daily Bell. http://www.thedailybell.com/1338/DC-...e-Bust-Up.html

    Excerpt:

"The American exception has traveled from a republican democracy to a back-room exercise in influence peddling. It has gone from a fairly transparent system to one that lacks even the most elemental checks-and-balances at a fundamental level. No one will ever understand the horse-trading that goes on or loopholes that have been created via these behind-the-scenes regulatory exercises. This hardly can be called legislating anymore. It is a form of pocketbook law."

The courts were supposed to be the final check on governmental abuse of power. And the courts in America have done nothing at all to uphold justice, fairness, the rule of law, or even the Constitution itself. Why is that?

How did we end-up with the Federal Reserve Bank System being the law itself? How come no courts spoke-up and said that this concentration of power was illegal? No States in the United States spoke-up and challenged this abuse of power in the courts.

I don't understand this at all, so can I stay after class and have this explained to me, sloooooooooooowly, I mean "spoon-fed", so that even a slow-learner like myself might understand how this evolved and came to be legal? Whatever Bernanke says, is "the law", and one man controls the wealth of the entire world. The markets listen to every word Bernanke says, and rightfully so, because whatever he says, goes.

And in the UK, we have the release of the Lockarbie bomber: Why didn't the House of Lords stop this in London? What did the Monarchy do to stop this? What did the people of Scotland do to stop this? Why didn't the courts stop this?

I'm lost here. I don't trust governments at all. What ever happened to the rule of law?

The judicial system in this country was co-opted a long time ago-- since the War Between The States, at least.

Anyone looking for relief from that direction is going to be waiting a long, long time.
