Is this not just about collecting sales tax? What is the big deal? Its a RETAIL tax. Restaurants pay it. Why shouldn't a bagel "restaurant"? Does it really matter what type of food they are serving? Of course they are going to start shaking the bushes looking for money. Even in places they didn't used to. Get used to it.

I have run the stop sign down the street for years... when I get a ticket, I am not going to whine about it.

...taxing authorites need more money now so how about they equip YOUR car with a gps, when you break the law by speeding or don't come to a full stop...they just deduct the fee from your checking account...or maybe they put up cameras at red lights and just mail you tickets...they are just trying to make us each safer...same as this bagel BS...three audits and no mention of the tax...then when they find themselves short $$$...here comes enforcement of "the bagel tax"
