And I thought we had problems of our own here in the US.
The elities in Iran are going to find themselves with an internal broad based revolution on their hands. And, with few to no options left. I thought our policy makers were stupid but the Iranians make them look like a bunch of einsteins in comparison. How they allowed themselves to get so utterly and completely wrong

Wouldn't be the first time a US President [or UK Prime Minister] with low polls started a war to "fix the problem"...

I don't believe that starting a war and or having a false flag will work, people can't be that dumb.

Don't under-estimate the 10th Century Islamo-fascists now ruling Iran to use their gallows to cut-off any and all protests.

Never forget the lesson of World War II: Appeasement only made Hitler's nazis stronger and bolder. Britain's mis-guided appeasement policy made WWII inevitable, and Britain's appeasement policy made WWII worse than it needed to be.

Using force to knock-out the regime in Tehran, even using a nuke against that regime to finish them off, would help the West and help the cause of freedom. The clerics running Iran should have been taken-out decades ago.

A former CIA director says military action against Iran now seems more likely because no matter what the U.S. does diplomatically, Tehran keeps pushing ahead with its suspected nuclear program.

Michael Hayden, a CIA chief under President George W. Bush, says that during his tenure a strike was "way down the list" of options. But he tells CNN's "State of the Union" that such action now "seems inexorable."

Once Iran/China knows "Its on" expect at the 11th hour for Iran to "Light one up in desert"......the "guts" surplied by North Korea (under orders from China).....China hands are clean.......so what do you do....attack Iran & see Isreal get Nuked....willing to take the chance (they not!)........attack North Korea & China will considered it an attack on them....

Ever considered that maybe appeasement was the plan to let Germany and Russia destroy itself for the benefit of the Empire?

It's not like Iran and Iraq haven't been supplied by the US in their war.

Well, it looks like what was postponed a decade ago will now come to fruition. My buddy who I used to fly tankers with told me recently that they we doing exactly the same thing we did in the run up to the Iraq war. It's all ready to go. That is his opinion, he is still in the tanker, I've been out for five years so it helps to have contacts that are still current on the real world stuff (been in training command so I get all my info from my friends that are still active on the pointy tip of the spear).

over a week ago. I'm not a subscriber so I didn't read the report, but he claims it will
happen before the Nov. elections.

I don't buy it for a second. It would be political suicide for President Obama, and what in the world would it accomplish? The only way there is a war with Iran is if they start it, or a nuclear attack is imminent. Although if this kind of talk starts to spread, I might try to bet on an oil spike for awhile.

It's not the credibility of the source that matters , it is the quality of the analysis and the amount of insight provided that counts. Just look at itulip circa 2004, totally against the grain with the mainstream yet later proven utterly correct!
It's called "getting it right" even when everyone else thinks you are wrong.


It's also known as vindication.

Don't let the lack of credentials turn you off to what is a truly great piece of analysis.

A couple of months ago I would have laughed at the idea of war with Iran
Now I see it looming large and would not rule out the preemptive use of nukes by the us given what is at stake. This dwarfs the Cuban missile crisis by an order of magnitude or two BECAUSE of nuclear primacy on the part of the us and Israel. That element was not present during the Cuban missile crisis, which is what makes this present conflict so much more likely and so much more likely to involve the preemptive use of nukes by either or both the us and Israel.

The US offered to take military action on behalf of the 15 British sailors and marines held by Iran, including buzzing Iranian Revolutionary Guard positions with warplanes, the Guardian has learned.

Pentagon officials asked their British counterparts: what do you want us to do? They offered a series of military options, a list which remains top secret given the mounting risk of war between the US and Iran. But one of the options was for US combat aircraft to mount aggressive patrols over Iranian Revolutionary Guard bases in Iran, to underline the seriousness of the situation.

How did the clerics come to power? Didn't we overthrow a democratically elected government in 1953 and installed a dictator? It's called "blowback."

I'm no fan of the current regime in Iran. But it seems to me that we always repeat our mistakes, and the American population loves a "good" war.

The worst that the Shah ever did was crop a few ears. He should have hung the trouble-makers; i.e, the one's who came to the Univ. of California at Berkeley in 1969 to speak about their plan to establish "the world's first Islamic Republic in Iran". And we at Berkeley thought this would be a step forward for Iran! Forty-one years later, looking back, I don't think we were so bright. We were duped.

I am very dismayed that kids in colleges and universities, worldwide to-day are still being duped by advocates for Islamic-republics, apologists for Arminishod and his regime in Iran, advocates for fundamentalist Islam, and apologists for Islamic-terrorists.

Not to be out-done, we have the advocates for building a mosque at the site of the World Trade Centre in NYC..... How about my view: to build nothing at Ground Zero, especially NOT anything that has to do with religion of any kind?
