Since according to the graph, what took ten years in the 1830 to 1870 time frame, now takes a year -- ergo the "civil war" should last no more than 6 months -- and if the casualties are at the same level as a percentage of the population, it would be brutal indeed!

I don't know how such parallels can even be attempted!
