If you are familiar with the Koran, especially the Medinan suras which abrogate the more peaceful and ecumenical Mecca ones, you could legitimately say that he was a trecherous, violent sociopath as well.
The contradictions of western liberals always amaze me - and their hypocrisy runs so deep that they cannot even see it.

The same liberals who will liberally point to violent passages from the Old Testament turn into pussycats when confronted with the Quran. The primary reason for this is cowardice - for all the so-called fanatcisms of the US "religious right", they are unlikely to behead someone because that someone "insulted their faith". The Muslim world doesn't work that way. The day American citizens stop doing certain things because some nutcases in Pakistan get offended by it, you can start your countdown to the day the US ceases to be a free country.

Thank you. I couldn't possibly agree more.

There is no Methodist Jihad, no Lutheran Suicide Bombers, no "honor killings" among the Presbyterians.

The ignorance concerning Islam and its founder that I've encountered among Americans is nothing less than astonishing.
For those who actually want to know and understand the truth about "the religion of peace" I highly recommend this book:

It's better to read an erudite author descended from those who experienced dhimmitude under the heel of Islam than to buy into the insane garbage of political correctness.

And I agree with Master Shake's point about Muhammad and Aisha - another unpleasant topic that you won't hear about from the gutless, useless Western Media.

Why should it be up to news media to report on this? Is it breaking news? (serious question, not wisenheimer like the previous one)

I never said "news" media - I said Western Media. There are functions within the media other than "breaking news".
There is investigative journalism, frequently used to insult, mock and marginalize Christians as either well intentioned ignoramuses, or as militant, violent types who threaten our democratic principles and seek to install a theocracy in the United States.

But when it comes to Islam their "courage" seems to disappear.
