Market better hope there are still those who are short, nothing gets the market headed higher than shorts covering. Without shorts in the market we'd be at DOW 3,000 by next Tuesday. I think there's still plenty of market segments to short.

Why now? IMO the hedge fund thing seems like something that can cause a nasty chain reaction.

a rule, (definitely not a law), says that when markets break to new highs they generally dip a little then advance way past previous highs.

The data for this is usually pushed by the momentum guys

I'm not sure if Richard Russell gave this explanation for his bear to bull flip.

Repatriating d0llars don't have many choices, stocks are certainly one of those choices.

I know the repudiation of dollars will happen but how fast? If I was China sitting on all those dollars I would certainly want to invest them wisely. If interest rates are on the rise in the US this is dollar support and assets down. The dollars Chinese hold would strengthen with higher interest rates in the US as well as they would not have to move aggressively to purchase US assets, time is still on their side. With higher interest rates and assets down why wouldn’t the Chinese just wait for a buying opportunity when asset pricing is lower? The repudiation of dollars may also play a big role in the next US bubblehttp://www.itulip.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1397 to be formed.

Looks to me like China is a accumulator of green pieces of paper not a repatriator of green pieces of paper. I'm not quite sure why everyone points to China other that that's where our wonderful and very Free Press tells us that's where the danger comes from for repatriation. When you consider that our very Free and Liberty Minded Press is owned by Wall Street Banksters it makes Cents that China is who they want to blame. Now why would China Repatriate their d0llar holdings? That would be a dumbshit thing to do and everything I've ever seen about China tells me they are anything but dumbshits.

Now to who's advantage is it to repatriate their d0llars? Certainly the Not So Great Britain gains from repatriating their d0llars, it's also to the advantage of the Eurozone to repatriate their d0llars. This could help to explain why these losers make up the Coalition of the Coercered in Iraq. I would think the question to ask as to who is going to goose the market with repatriated d0llars is how many d0llars does Queen Liz and her inbreed boyz and the Eurozone have to Repatriate? Certainly enough to goose the market and give it one more launch to the moon.

China does only one thing with their d0llars, they purchase d0llar debt and then change the payment schedule to Yuan or forgive the debt altogether. Ask South America how they came up with so many d0llars they could finally tell the IMF to piss off. Doing this makes a stronger d0llar not a weaker d0llar, which is what China wants to do with their Trillion D0llars worth of Bonars. They'd be dumbshits to think any differently.

tet, people are pointing to china because instead of buying treasures, instead of even standing aside, china sold [net] treasuries last month.

Oh come on, this has been the mandra for our MSM for the last four years that's I've been watching. China's sells of T-Bills last month represented less than half of one percent of their holdings. My statistics tells me this is much ado about nothing. Could have more to do with not as many T-Bills being offered.
