Bollocks. One trillion is just a reasonable round number. No mathematical calculation went into that figure.

I guess I am dense. I don't understand how inflation would cause Fannie/freddie problems? Guaranteeing mortgages for people who can't pay or whose homes are worth less than the mortgage is the problem, isn't it?
