Thanks for the tip, I think with people like Simmons around BP might fall a bit more, perhaps to $20?

the kitchen sink of headlines have been thrown at BP shares over the past 2 weeks, thereby partially desensitizing the shares to the news.
Definitely, China can't wait to exchange all of its dollars for commodities, especially oil assets. Once China has completely exchanged its dollars with commodities - China will stop supporting the dollar and the dollar will plunge to the bottom of the Gulf.

The possibilty that one major accident could ruin your company will weigh heavy on future exploration. Remember, the big wigs and board members make their pay day on company stock options.

Maybe start another war to grab more oil?

I am not sure myself, but I rather suspect that they wish that business as usual will somehow resume, and that somehow the clock can be turned back! I am sure that this has been a rather upsetting experience for both of them.

I'm not sure I understand what you or GRG55 wish.
I'm not wishing anything, just stating my opinion based on my experience in the business.

Edit: To be fair I'm not sure I know what I wish either. Kind of why I've kept my nose out of these BP threads.
Here's my wish: that the egos in charge let some real help get involved. How many international entities offered help in the early phase? How many were allowed?

BP is not the only oil company with people who know how to build wells. They failed over and over, here and in the past. They say losers average losers in the trading world...... we're holding back other brilliant people for the sake of holding onto BP & the feds' "control" of the situation.

As i understand, an American drill company is responsible for drilling the Deepwater Horizon.

Well I'm sure we all wish that. I wonder if BP should face the kind of music that Lehman Brothers faced. Will the system withstand the shock? Should all our interests be measured against the potential failure of BP? No way this turns out well for all concerned.

Fair enough. I was just wondering of those who seem emotionally (maybe a poorly chosen word) closer to the BP, what they wish would happen to BP.
