Yet builders here are putting up 1,100 homes, and they are frantically buying lots for even more.
Las Vegas is trying to recover by building what it does not need. It is an unlikely pattern being repeated in many of the areas where the housing crash was most severe. -

The housing market has simply transformed itself with a new sales model, Disposable housing! Why bother with one of those "foreclosed" houses on that block over there, when you can have a brand new, sparkling clean house on this much better block here. If the prices of our new houses drop, don't worry! We'll help you walk away from your mortgage (tax payers have deep pockets), and while you're waiting for the foreclosure to finish, come on over and check out our brand, spanking new development across town!Comment
