How does the Labour Party currently choose its leader? I know the traditional approach for UK parties was for the party's caucus to vote amongst themselves, but I know that in recent years there's been a trend towards the entire membership choosing a leader, either by direct votes or by delegates at a convention, in the way Canadian parties generally do. If that's the case, the logistics might lead to a more drawn-out process.

I believe the British consider themselves far to civil [ized?] to do that. More likely they will call in the decorators and ask them to bring fabric samples to No. 10...
