Re: Agricultural Apocalypse 2010
This "agricultural apocalypse 2010" kind of thinking is why the funding for ecology departments at public universities needs to be ended.
We have endless agricultural productivity. So long as we keep religion from wasting our time (including the new religion of environmentalism) we will never have anything but crop surplusses and low prices.
There is no evidence of major climate change. The sea levels are barely changed. Each year in climate study is a re-play of a past year in weather--- and boring as can be.
At this point, there are two threats to mankind: fundamentalist religion which leads to the mass wasting of human-time and also to population explosion; also inflation economics caused by the idiots in the world's central banks who think they know more about the world's markets than the markets know themselves. The tinkering of central bankers has proven to cause great harm, everywhere in the world.
If the world can control its religions and control its economists, we will all do fine. At least, we will all survive. ;)
