    Re: The Clueless Rebellion

My wife has over 500 wastebook friends and spends a fair amount of time there. The plus side; she has found live music shows advertised on her wastebook page we might not have known about. Beyond that I don’t see much benefit.

I had a handful of friends and then I 'de-friended' (remove) everyone except for my wife. Then I recently added Sara Palin and started asking her questions. She and/or her minions got my wastebook account axed. I would thank them but to do that I would have to create another wastebook account.

To answer your question, Don, if you like texting on a cell phone all hours of the day, you might like wastebook.

There's nothing hateful about wanting to enforce the law and send those who are here illegally back to where they came from or to cut off benefits for them. If you want the truth about the effects of illegal immigration on this country, check out Heather MacDonald's work at The Manhattan Institute.

Thanks for your service to the country.

And as far as the "racist" epithet that's been thrown at the Tea Partiers, Mr Breitbart is still waiting for someone to claim the $10K reward he's offered for a video of John Lewis being called the N-word. Since Mr. Lewis' group intentionally walked through the protesters with video cameras running, it shouldn't be hard to prove.

FYI: The USA and Canada have always had a rather tolerant policy toward immigrants, even those who didn't fill-out all of the necessary forms just so. The law is on the side of immigrants, not the governments. So long as immigrants are not fleeing major crimes, they will always be welcome here. This is the land of liberty.... On this issue, the issue of immigration, the Christian-right is way off-base.

Your "Christian Right," beside being one of your favorite bogeymen (or is that Mula's; I can't keep you two straight), is irrelevent to the issue. It's not 1870 with a Western frontier to settle. What may have been good national policy in the 19th century is no longer the case today.

I don't own a cell phone. Never have. Don't plan to.

(unless Feds mandate ownership ;) )

              Shake, a suggesting for you.

Take this WORTHWHILE POLICY DISCUSSION to a better place and continue the dissussion there. (A new thread perhaps, this one is a bit tea-bonicphobic if you ask me).

I'm afraid that I'm just too lazy and apathetic to do so.

easy....easy..... There may be some tea partiers here who might be offended by the word fuck.

They might try to get your account axed.

To my knowledge, you don't get banned for saying "fuck" here.

I didn't say immigration policy, that's a perspective I guess, just one that I disagree with. I wouldn't be an American if my dad had not been allowed to immigrate. I'm first generation, first to go to college, first to join the air force, first to serve in combat over the skies of Iraq and Afghanistan, well you get the idea. My dad's immigration made those things possible, FOR ME.

Hating someone because they are an immigrant... Yeah, that's not okay in my book, or in any book I think.

                      I'm Muslim.

We got any Christians or Jews that can fact-check the above claim for me? (about the bible and the torah on immigrants)

do not deprive a resident alien or an orphan of justice; you shall not take a widow's garment in pledge. 18 Remember that you were a slave in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there; therefore I command you to do this. 19 When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be left for the alien, the orphan, and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all your undertakings. 20 When you beat your olive trees, do not strip what is left; it shall be for the alien, the orphan, and the widow. 21 When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, do not glean what is left; it shall be for the alien, the orphan, and the widow
