I like the point at 3:20 in the first of these videos where he talked about American garbage food making people crazy.
Most folks are good; a few aren't.

I had Russian Food about 3 months before the collapse. It was WORTH waiting the three hours in line outside the Moscow McDonald's to get something decent to eat. I spent like 120 rubles ($4) and got 4 quarter pounders, three fries, a shake, and a diet (of course). That was my food for three days. I could not stand the hotel food, terrible! (Must have been staying in the wrong hotel). It was a great trip! (I was a junior in high school at the time)

Even in high school you were destined to be a pilot. That list above sounded like good dietary training for the "Snicker's Bar and Diet Coke" routine just before heading out to the ramp for the walk-around...

U.S. bases in Afghanistan closing Burger King and other fast food joints

The U.S. military is shutting down fast food joints such as Burger King, Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen at its bases in Afghanistan.Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Hall, a senior morale, welfare and recreation officer with the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, confirms the move on his blog.
"This is a war zone –- not an amusement park," Hall writes. "From the moment Gen. (Stanley) McChrystal and I arrived in Afghanistan last summer, we began looking for ways to do things more efficiently across the battlefield – the optimization of ISAF. This effort includes moving and reallocating resources to better accomplish our mission."

Judging by his blog post, putting Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Hall in charge of "morale" ranks up there with putting Greenspan in charge of sound money...

Overweight soldiers won't be a problem on a diet of beef teriyaki or meatloaf with gravy served military style.

We'll have to wait for the results of the next survey before we make any conclusions about morale...:p

3500 calories and you get to "shit a football" when you are done (It takes about a week to "pass" these bad boys). Been there, done that. Thank GOD for coffee, otherwise you'd never crap after eating these things. (Notice they didn't shut down the coffee shops, there's a reason for that).

Agreed, Sometimes I wondered if they took more energy to get out than they put in.
We are all little cockroaches running around guessing when the FED will turn OFF the Lights.
