  • Berk bonds now have a lower yield than treasury

    Fun and scary article.

Mike Larson states that there are several high grade corporate bonds that now have lower yields than treasuries with the same maturities.

But we have been assured that treasuries will never loose there AAA rating

where have i heard this before??? ah yes...

To track the development of the transition from "Ka' to "Poom" (disinflation to inflation), we will watch the following four key indicators of imminent crisis:
    1. Fed raises interest rates before a trend of three months of falling unemployment is established
    2. Yield spread between investment grade corporate bonds and UST exceeds 3.5%
    3. Capital inflows remain negative while the trade balance on a balance of payments basis continues on a growth trend
    4. Spike in the price of gold
