I'm old and have lost the ability to be amazed by a lot of things that happen in life, but the one area that continues to amaze me is when guys like Jon Stewart absolutely nail the essence of the culpability and outright simple criminality of the finance industry, and the politicians still don't get it. What sane person could watch this and not be outraged?

Stewart merely serves as a lightening rod for public rage, targeting the lowest common denominator audience. He's an essential element within the media mix.

Well said. In my youth, we marched in the streets, screaming at the elders of society to Listen!, it's messed up, the (Vietnam) war is a crime, ... We screamed because it seemed no one was listening.

Nowadays, it seems the youth glance at a Daily Show YouTube clip or two, see that well, yeah, it's screwed up. It's obvious. Then they turn back to their pastimes and distractions of the moment.
