Perhaps you have the sequence backwards.

Blow the government(s) up first (figuratively, of course -- DHS might be watching my posts), then form the North American Union.

Granted, even ThePatheticCow realizes that can't happen anytime soon. But that's the only sequence I can imagine even possible.

When a minority government falls it means that it has lost a vote of confidence in Parliament. That leaves Her Majesty [the Queen, or in our case her representative the Governor General] with the choice of asking the official opposition to form a government, or send Canadians to the polls.

It's happened before, and the country got through it just fine. If it happens again it won't be a problem...except for the fact that every political party in the country is, at the moment, in the control of numbskulls.

Don't believe me? Here's the latest example:

After an apparently "exhaustive review"... []
      Government cutting 245 board jobs

Last Updated: Monday, March 8, 2010 | 3:05 PM ET

The Conservative government will be cutting 245 jobs from agencies, boards and commissions, a move that will save Ottawa more than $1 million, Treasury Board President Stockwell Day announced Monday.

About 90 per cent of those jobs eliminated, known as governor-in-council positions, were already vacant, meaning the government won't reappoint people to those spots.

There are about 2,700 governor-in-council positions, which are filled by the cabinet, with the cuts amounting to less than 10 per cent.

Day said that while, "some people might say, well, $1.2 million, that’s not a gigantic amount," the cuts do send a message that the government is committed to tightening its belt...
      "...committed to tightening its belt..."?

Not a hope in hell. Last week this same government announced that the deficit for the current fiscal year will be $55.9 Billion. The $1.2 million of "savings" covers about 11 minutes of deficit spending.

      Owe Canada...

I was a bit doubtful as soon as I saw the Amero was to be backed by "Canadian and Mexican gold." Errrrr dunno about Mexico but I don't think Canada has any gold. And no, I don't mean in the ground, I mean in its central bank.

The smiley face at the end makes that statement in a way that only the American government could.

Who needs the Amero, let's us NAFTA partners simply join with the EU and adopt the Euro since their experiment is so stable and strong.
