Have to see how bad things are. So far, looks like serious damage, but nothing Chile itself can't handle.

    More as we hear it.

The potential tsunami from that could be far more devastating, given that Chile has prepared for earthquakes more than Haiti ever could. I'm kinda worried about my friends in Hawaii. The phones are clogged or down, because I can't get through to them. I'm assuming they are overwhelmed by the traffic of calls.

How strange to have the TV on now, watching live pictures of Hilo Bay, as the waves are expected to hit in 8 minutes. I've watched shuttle launches that haven't been timed as well as mother nature.

I can only watch him for 10 seconds at a time before the remote button switches channel. On the which way's the wave going map, Sanchez pointed to what I believe was the Galapagos, declaring that Hawaii. He's as much fun as when he walked on the map during Hurricane Andrew coverage on local TV. I was surprised yet not surprised to see he made national. Not quite objective reporting at its finest.
