The US is in the red to the tune of $59 TRILLION! (USA Today)...........JUst how long can this nonsence carry on for?...........At what point is the FED going to come clean?

OTOH, this counts unfunded future liabilities and how much do we really know about the future?
I don't really buy into this stuff. The national debt is what, $9 trillion, going up very quickly? And then there is state and local debt. And then there are fast depreciating US$...all else, well...the future is a long time away

relax
after adjusting for inflation, that will look tiny.
Also, as a fraction of GDP it will be nothing.
And even after it becomes tiny, productivity gains will make it so that 1 person working for 10 on social security will still be a good system.
